What we publish

The site focuses on educational mortgage and home-buying calculations: monthly payments, affordability, cash needed at closing, mortgage insurance, debt ratios, FHA and VA costs, and rent-versus-buy scenarios. Every tool is available without an account or lead form.

How the calculators are built

Calculation rules are versioned and tested against known examples and edge cases. Results show their assumptions, limitations, effective dates, and source links. Read the calculation methodology for details about decimal arithmetic, rounding, server verification, and known boundaries.

What the site does not do

Mortgage Figures is not a lender, broker, government agency, appraiser, insurer, tax adviser, or law firm. It does not approve loans, determine eligibility, quote live rates, or replace advice from a qualified professional. Its results are educational estimates based on the values and assumptions shown.

Privacy, corrections, and contact

Calculator values are not intentionally stored in the application database and are not sent to Google Analytics. The privacy policy explains the technical data used to operate the service.

To report a calculation issue, outdated source, accessibility problem, or factual correction, email hello@mortgagefigures.com. Include the calculator name, non-sensitive inputs, expected result, and the source supporting the correction.
